Minimatic (also known as Boogalox) is a French producer, musician and dj.

Grooving the swing, swinging the beat, beating the rock, rocking the lounge.

And always assuming his own sense of sonic humour with a free-and-easy style.

 

From his debut hysteric cha-cha tracks ("La raie o milieu"...) in 2000, to his series of 60's up-tempo mash-ups revamping the ye-ye era, Minimatic has created a very personal kind of "electro-organic hop-soul-swing-mashed-funk-blues beats" style of its own, full of vintage keys, natty guitars, explosive brass & ultra-groovy breaks from the past, combined with modern & scratchy electronic shock treatments, to provide a high-voltage colourful production.

 

Minimatic made his first electro-swing incursion in 2009 with « Prosschai », a remix from Artie Shaw, which received a great feedback from all the major players from the Burlesque scene in Europe, leading him to appear on numerous compilations.

 

After a bunch of isolated tracks in the genre, here is finally his first full fuelled electro-swing EP : « Practise Your Swing! ». 5 shaking tracks, taking some past & forgotten gems from the swing era to a new level of electricity, fine-cooked in his time travel laboratory, and over-boosted by this  now classic Minimatic's twist, that only he knows...
